A Fish Ta(b)le

How many fishy beachy dishes does one girl need?

fish table

Well, now, Mr. Fun, that depends on the dish! Some are just too hard to resist!  And then there are those which magically swim home behind you and leap out of your vacation luggage and onto the deck table!
At least, that is my (fish) tale and I’m sticking to it!

These fish knew they would be happy here.  The Momma fish keeps an eye on the eight little fish.

They rest on my favorite Wedgwood Nantucket Basket everyday white dishes.  The basket design reminds me of the beach and the little dots on the edge look like bubbles.  The turquoise placemats are exactly the blue/green color of the sea.

A few other fish keep them company:

More friends include an octopus from China in Epcot, a fish from Russia, and a little ball that started as a fish bubble and grew into a pig-fish!

Seashell salt and peppers, coral votives, and flowers like water grasses help those little fish feel right at home!

Through the glass pieces, everything appears to be underwater.

  1. You know, I’m not sure that I have even one fish dish, and I might as well not look because you already have all the cutest ones. I love the water colors of the blues and greens, and the ‘blue hour’ shot is a fantastic picture. Do you ever serve anything but fish dinners on your fish dishes? Thank you for sharing your whimsical design. Cherry Kay

  2. As if this were not perfect enough, you caught the blue hour! I love that shot the best, but I love everything about this table. I had to scroll through three times to get it all in. I’ll probably scroll through at least one more.
The details in this table are just wonderful!
    Love it!
