Finding Words

“Let the little children come to me; do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs …
And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them,
and blessed them.”
Mark 10:13,16

“I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness.”
John 8:12

This year as I prepare for Christmas I understand more than ever the significance of the birth in the little town of Bethlehem.  I do not understand the reasons for the horrific events of last week, but I am finding comfort in these words from the New Testament.

Please join me in praying for the people of Connecticut
and especially those in my neighboring community of Newtown.
Thank you.

  1. Words can not describe the sorrow I feel. It has made me try to not fret at my children so, and realize that I am so glad they are with me. The reality is that our time is so short with them. I pray that Newton may heal. I hope you have a blessed Christmas. Joni

  2. Linda~ I thought of you when I watched all the horrific details and wondered how far away you were from the tragedy. Keeping the families in our thoughts and prayers.

  3. Your dishes are terrific, a new pattern to me for sure. We, too, are looking forward to having everyone in the same place. It’s a new experience having one chick somewhere other than Houston, and we’re still trying to figure out how it all works. I know your house will be filled with joy with all under one roof.
