Finding Spring in the Cedar Closet

The thermometer outside the kitchen window is trying hard to touch 50, and that means it is time to visit the cedar closet in the attic to find the summery things I tucked away last fall, when the thought of tweeds and wools seemed so cozy and comforting.

Let’s gather my winter bags together to start the great seasonal switch.

I can never resist a great bag.

Little details call out to me…

…take me home, take me home !!!!

I’ve been to all the Coach outlets, but I haven’t found a Longchamps outlet yet.
If you find one, call me immediately.

And here’s my VINTAGE Palomba.

Did you have one?

Is there anything “vintage” in your closet that you actually bought and used when it was new?
Think about it before you answer!

An “Oldies” party in college is now called
90’s Dance.

And on that happy note, let’s see what’s in the cedar closet waiting for Spring.

My Spring bags in all my favorite colors!

Do I have a bag obsession?
Or a pink obsession?
Have you switched to your summer bags yet?
Are they
pink?

Please join me at these fun parties!!

  3. Happy PINK Saturday! Is there such a thing as too many purses? Banish to the thought! Love the Pink and green coach bag. I am with you, I am soooo ready to pull out the spring clothes! I brought out my pink and green Vera Bradley bag this week! Have a wonderful, warm weekend, Nan

  4. Okay now that I feel….OLD….(a 90’s dance!) I guess I need to be nice and tell you I loved your bags and you must have a lot of whimsy since some of them are too cute….lol…

  5. Happy Pink Linda Sweetie…
Oh what a beautiful share. I would say you have a purse obsession (sshhhh, so do I.) and you also have a pink obsession (sshhhhh, so do I.) Some things we just can’t resist. A gal can never have to many purses.

I love that pink Coach. That is just gorgeous for Spring. Love, Love, LOVE it.

Thanks for sharing your obsession. I am so thrilled to know I am not the only one.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  6. Wow…you have a wonderful collection of purses!! I usually buy one for each season but I also pursge the old ones if they weren’t expensive. I love the pink and green Coach!

  7. I have arthritis and hate to have purses too heavy. As it is, I carry so much stuff around it already weighs a ton, plus often have to add grandchildren books, netbook, and other vital items that weigh even more. So I live with the basic black Le Sac purses that are the lightest I’ve ever found. But Ohhhh, If did didn’t have to worry about weight, I’d love the pretty pink and green tote bag – Lovely! Thanks for a fun Pink Saturday AND Favorite Things visit. 🙂

  8. I use the same LeSportsac bag everyday. I have a black Coach bag for weddings and funerals. I am not into bags or shoes.
You have a wonderful collection! I need room in my closet for dishes and linens!

  9. You have the most wonderful collection of bags! I couldn’t help but notice the adorable pig peeking from behind your chair. He is just the cutest thing! Happy Pink Saturday! Terri

  10. haahhhaa, O, Linda, you are sooo cute.
I love every single one of those precious bags. I’ve never, in my entire loooong life, had that many bags at one time.
I HAVE to go buy a summer bag or two. Even Mr. Sweet said the other day,” Uh…I think it’s time for a new purse.”…so that means it is REALLY time.:))
Hope I can find a pink one as cute as some of yours.

  11. Love your Mickey bag! You aren’t alone. Everyone who knows me comments on my bags because I have one of every color almost. My mom is the worst to laugh about it, but she only carries black, brown, and a blue bag. All neutrals. Yet who does she go to when she needs a bag in another color? I tell her she should be happy that I’m well prepared. 😉

    Looks like you are too!

  12. LOVE IT! What a great post! I am going to soooo get onee of the pink and green bags…it has to be a favorite! Now I need to go peek in my closet…but I’m thinkng nothing is as springy as your collection! Love it!

  13. Oohh, nice bags, Linda! I’m still using my winter bag because I love it! To be honest, I’m going to hate to put it away! I love your pretty pinks! Happy Pink Saturday and thanks for your visit.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  14. Oh my goodness…you have made me smile with all of your spring inspiration!! Love your bags and I think it is time for that change…a pink change that is!! Happy Pink Saturday xOxO

I am now a follower of your blog…I hope you will drop by my blog for a visit!!
Looking forward to getting to know you!

  16. I have a bag problem also but my color is purple’s any shade. I have to say I love that pink coach with the green trim which is in your first photo. I would love to have one of them. TFS Dee:)

  17. I cannot imagine a better OCD problem to have than pocket books. I love them too and have a HUGE drawer full of them. I change them multiple times each week. Love the post, and I really like those pink bags.

  18. You have some great bags there. My only foray into bags other that purely functional has been to make some – fabric and/or felted sweaters. It has been fun, but I haven’t had time lately – or – rather, my sewing space is just too messy to tackle right now. LOL! But you have quite a lovely collection. Happy Pink Sat.

    Blessings,
    Tricia

  19. I haven’t switched my purses yet. But, I have been thinking maybe I should start using one of my summer purses now. Maybe that would bring warmer weather! LOL

  20. Your handbags are all gorgeous, especially the pink Coach & Vera Bradley ones.
I’ve not changed over from winter to spring yet but I do have a lime green one that’s begging to come out of the attic very soon.
    Great post!

  21. I am loving you pink bags! I have one coach bag that is multi colors and I use it in the summer…love it. Wish I could have another coach bag but $$ are tight right now…I’ll keep looking at the thrifts, ya never now! hugs, Linda

  22. I love your bag collection hon…I totally love the pink Coach! My only one is in the brown shades, very pretty though. I got a Long Champs for Christmas from my daughter Sophia, since I was going for new year’s to a long cruise, she thought best. In the Celebrity Cruise line there was a Coach store, but couldn’t bring my hubby to buy me another cause he was already taking me on such a great cruise down the SAm- glaciers and beach resourts. I enjoyed your post, loved it!

  23. Hi Linda, Happy “way late” Pink Saturday (or maybe I am early for next saturday :). Yep, there is an “oldie” or vintage in my closet that I still wear. Animal skin prints are so popular now and I bought a long jacket in the 80’s that was silk and a leopard skin print. I think I wore it about three times. I ran across it the other day….had it cleaned and took out those huge shoulder pads and wore it with jeans the other day. Had so many compliments. I like it now but didn’t care for it back then. Wonder why? I don’t really have seasonal pocketbooks. Mostly I carry one big black bag (see my blog header) and sometimes just switch out for fun. However, I am going treasure hunting tomorrow with a friend and since I hate carrying a big bag in the shops inside of it I pack a little vintage bag that I pull out and use. 🙂 Have a wonderful week.

  24. How fun! I too love pink bags. And to think I was contemplating getting rid of some, but you’ve changed my mind!

Thanks for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.

  25. Hi Linda,
loved your bag post. I’ll bet if we put my bags and your bags together, we’d start a stampede! I love to use my canvas Brighton purses in Spring but usually I like a good DB or my leather Polo which I’ve had for over fifteen years!

On your current post, I think Mr. Fun could teach my Mr. Timeless, a thing or two about shopping! You have some really lovely gifts!

    Happy PS
    Deanna 😀
