Independence Day Table

~~~~ INDEPENDENCE DAY TABLE ~~~~
WELCOME to my FIRST EVER POST!!!!!!
Independence Day was sizzling hot here in Connecticut.  The back deck was the perfect spot to set our starspangled table!
The napkin rings, votive holders and little candles provided the fireworks, and even the hydrangea from my yard fit into the patriotic color scheme!Independence Day 7/10
Word soon got around that there was yummy homemade potato salad, corn on the cob, bbq chicken and caprese salad!  And of course, refreshing, cold, iced tea with fresh mint!
Visitors arrived from far away, bringing the colors and music for us to enjoy!  First, the Williamsburg militia arrived.
They were followed by Uncle Sam, a blue fish, and a little star who entertained Mr. Fun!
There were so many things to celebrate on this great day!!!
Of course, after a feast like this, there’s certainly no room for dessert!  Or is there always room…?
As the sun set on this glorious, sweltering day, the candles and fireworks were lit.
  5. WELCOME TO BLOGGING! This is gorgeous! I’m working on the garden walk Saturday, and I’m doing a tablesetting under the pergola (I wrote a big blog about it – so follow me over and check it out) and I’m looking for inspiration – I’m so glad I came here, because you’ve got tons! I’m loving the idea of the fish on the table! Those are so much fun, and the whimsy they add is perfect! It’s a stunning arrangement, and just GORGEOUS! So, don’t be so surprised if you see that copied next week when I play in TT Thursday! 🙂 Can’t wait! Thank you so so so so much for the inspiration! 🙂
  8. What a fabulous first post and welcome to blogging. I loved everything about your table setting but particularly liked the Byers Choice patriotic dolls. I collect Byers Choice Dolls but mostly they are Christmas ones. I do have some for Thanksgiving but have never used them on a table setting. Thanks for the inspiration. I have also never seen those particular dolls and now I am on a “HUNT”. My DH will appreciate you for that.
